Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the platform operated by ("Zero Assist", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the authority to bind the organisation you represent, and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and (for organisations) our Data Processing Agreement.

Zero Assist provides a B2B SaaS platform (" ", "Service") that enables organisations ("Customers") to monitor technical interview sessions for AI-assisted cheating. The Service comprises:

  • Web dashboard — session management, real-time monitoring view, scan reports, and billing
  • Desktop agent — a standalone application installed on the candidate's device that performs system scans and transmits results securely to the interviewer's dashboard

The Service is intended for use in a lawful, professional hiring context only.

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.

The Zero Assist desktop agent is an application that candidates must download and run voluntarily before a monitored session. By deploying a session, you acknowledge and agree that the agent performs the following operations on the candidate's device:

  • Process enumeration — reads the names and PIDs of active processes to detect AI-assistance tools
  • Window title scanning — reads titles of all visible application windows and browser tabs
  • Browser tab scraping — extracts active URLs and titles from supported web browsers
  • Network telemetry — reads established TCP connection addresses and associated process names
  • Display configuration — reads monitor count and screen resolution
  • System identity — reads device hostname, OS username, OS version, and public IP address
  • Microphone access detection — identifies which applications are using or have access to the mic. No audio is recorded.
  • Hardware fingerprinting — manufacturer and model info used to detect Virtual Machines (VMs).

Important: You are solely responsible for informing candidates about the monitoring and for complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

  • The Zero Assist agent displays a full DPDPA/GDPR-compliant data notice before monitoring begins.
  • You must comply with all applicable employment, privacy, and data protection laws in your jurisdiction.
  • You may not use the Service for surveillance outside of a disclosed, consented interview context.
  • You may not deploy monitoring sessions for any candidate under 18 years of age. The Service performs behavioural monitoring and is not intended for children, whose data is subject to heightened protection under DPDPA 2023 §9.
  • Misuse that violates applicable law is grounds for immediate account termination without refund.
  • The Service operates on a prepaid credit system. One credit = one candidate session.
  • Credits are non-expiring and non-transferable between accounts.
  • Refunds may be requested within 7 days of purchase if no sessions have been consumed.
  • Credits consumed (even partially) are non-refundable.

All software, algorithms, trademarks, and content comprising the Service are owned by Zero Assist. You receive a limited license to use the Service solely for your internal hiring purposes.

You may not:

  • Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Service's monitoring capabilities
  • Reverse-engineer or extract detection signatures or proprietary algorithms from the agent
  • Instruct candidates to bypass or dismiss the consent notice in the agent

You retain ownership of candidate session data. Zero Assist processes this data as a Data Processor. You are the Data Fiduciary (Controller) responsible for compliance with privacy laws.

The Service is provided "as is." Zero Assist makes no warranty that detection accuracy will be 100%. Detection results are probabilistic signals. Hiring decisions are solely your responsibility.

Zero Assist's total liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the 3 months preceding the event, and shall not exceed INR 50,000 in aggregate. Zero Assist is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights available to individual candidates under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Candidates may lodge complaints with the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra.

Disputes involving amounts exceeding INR 1,00,000 may, at either party's election, be referred to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with a sole arbitrator seated in Pune, Maharashtra. The language of arbitration shall be English.
